At Jasmine Interiors, we believe that everyone deserves to live and work with dignity in pleasant, comfortable and functional surroundings. Along with our like-minded vendors and clients, we are dedicated to continuing community outreach with a greater purpose. The design services we contribute, together with the donated services and materials of our vendors, can turn charitable facilities into welcoming, functional, organized spaces for staff, volunteers and the many people in crisis whom they serve.
We have had the privilege of sharing our time and expertise, in a pro bono capacity, with nonprofits, such as the Warren Village Learning Center in Denver and the Economic Development Council (EDC) in Castle Rock.
Warren Village delivers vital services to underserved and marginalized families. The residents are previously unhoused single parents and their children. The CEO asked me to:
- Totally renovate the Children’s Learning Center
- Create a computer lab
- Add more support staff stations
- Redesign their food pantry
- Redesign the reception area for the apartments
With the support of my generous team, we were able to create new space plans, as well as select and install all of the new finishes and furniture at a minimal cost to this nonprofit.
Similarly, the president of the board of Castle Rock EDC asked if we would be willing to design their future location. The Castle Rock EDC is dedicated to increasing job growth, supporting businesses and building community.
My design assistant and I:
- Provided a detailed analysis of their space planning needs
- Developed the space plan
- Created the lighting design
- Selected all of the finishes
- Selected the furniture, accessories and art
In our work with nonprofits, Jasmine Interiors discovered that we can play a vital role in helping the people who help others. Simply by doing what we love to do, we can support the missions of these organizations.
Inspired by the outpouring of support for our pro bono work, we are excited to announce that we are now increasing our commitment to nonprofit groups. I invite you to join me in carrying out the mission of Jasmine Interior’s Pay It Forward initiative. Feel free to call or email me to learn more about this activity or to explore ways that you can get involved.
And, of course, we welcome the opportunity to hear your ideas for how we can build stronger, healthier and more equitable communities together.
